The Historical Highlights
So many of the best known and incredible sites in the world are located right in Rome. Everything from the Pantheon, the Colosseum, Vatican City (technically not Rome) and the Trevi Fountain is right at your fingertips. This makes Rome one of the most enjoyable cities to explore. We loved bouncing from one breathtaking experience to another while stopping for gelato between each, of course!
Piazzas, Fountains & Beauty Galore
In addition to all of the super famous sites mentioned above, there are also endless other monuments, buildings and fountains that I’ve never heard of which are equally fascinating and terrific to look at. Every single piazza has some incredible sculpture or fountain. Josh jokes that, in any other city these would be THE THING to see but in Rome, they’re just one more fountain or just another amazing building, etc. It just goes to say how much stunning beauty there is to see everywhere in Rome.
