FAVIGNANA
Explore the Island by Bike
The hotel we were staying in had bikes for rent at the low price of $5 per day. What a deal! So we hopped on a couple bikes and rode all around the island. I felt like a kid again as we rode along the coast exploring every nook and cranny. On Favignana there is so much to see, from stunning blue water rock beaches, to the many beautiful coves. There’s no better way to explore the island.
A Sunset View From a Castle
While I do not recommend biking, I highly recommend that you climb to Castello di Santa Caterina to watch a sunset. The zigzag path up the side of a mountain to the castle will certainly ramp up your cardio but the views at the top are well worth breaking a small sweat. From here, you have 360 degrees of unobstructed view of Favignana and neighboring islands.
