A Mix of Old & New
Valencia is a really pretty city. There are beautiful trees lining the streets and wonderful flowers and landscaping throughout. It’s also an incredible mixture of old and new. In parts of town, you have ancient buildings and squares, but Valencia also has an incredible arts and science museum which actually looks like something from the future and is a really stunning piece of art, itself.
Day Trips
There are a lot of cool things to see and do just outside of Valencia. We took a drive out to see the aqueducts in Pena Cortada and the hot springs in Montanejos. Both were really cool. The aqueducts are no longer functioning but there’s a really nice trail which goes over bridges and through tunnels to achieve some incredible views. And the hot springs are a great way to spend a day there are natural sand beaches to relax on and a restaurant beside the springs so you can grab a refreshing drink or a bite of food, if you like. Besides enjoying the waters of the springs, you should also walk along them for some great views of the surrounding mountains.
