Stealer of Hearts
I don’t want to sound like a broken record but there are just so many cool cities in the world, and Barcelona is another one that stole our hearts. It’s kind of got it all: a laid-back vibe, great food, interesting parks and museums and amazing architecture including the fascinating works of Antoni Gaudi, just to name a few. And to top it all off, this cool city is right on the coast and has a great boardwalk and pretty beaches.
Neat Neighborhoods
Part of what we loved about Barcelona is that there are so many different neighborhoods and each one feels really unique. You’ve got the Gothic Quarter which feels like a step back in time. Here’s where we came across the Fira de Santa Llúcia Christmas Market right in front of Barcelona’s Cathedral. This is my favorite thing ever! Then there’s Las Ramblas with plenty of modern shops and restaurants. Montjuic sits up high on a steep hill and offers fabulous views of the city. There are so many more, you just need to go see them for yourself.
