There’s just nothing like traveling around Europe and experiencing such vast cultural differences from one country to the next. We still laugh about the time we were in Madrid on Thanksgiving Day, of course it was just a regular Thursday in Spain. We went out for dinner around 6:30 and the waitress commented that she knew we were Americans because we were having dinner so early. Later that evening, as we were heading to bed around 11:00 pm, outside our window, we heard the clinking of silverware on plates and friendly chatter as the locals were just starting their meal.
