Lots of Variety
Josh and I had the greatest time driving and walking around Portland. There are so many unique neighborhoods to experience. On one street you’ve got a full parking lot filled with food trucks, then you turn the corner and find a row of micro-breweries, and turn the corner again to find a vintage-style ice cream shop and really nice boutiques. We even found a vegan hotdog stand inside a courtyard behind a bicycle shop. Needless to say, I gained five extra pounds in a couple of days while visiting Portland.
A Nature Lover's Dream Come True
Just outside of Portland, there is so much natural beauty to seek out. A drive along the Columbia River rewards you with some spectacular views of the river, waterfalls and mountains. Speaking of mountains, Mt. Hood is a quick drive away and there are so many incredible hikes to do and even a really cool ski park that has awesome slides and a bike course. We had a blast on the slides!
