Columbia River
While the Columbia River runs through Washington and Oregon, we experienced it just outside of Portland and it was incredible. The river runs parallel with I-84 and treats you with one amazing view after another. It’s unreal to pull off the road and see the river below with dramatic mountains in the background. Make sure you have your camera ready.
Portland
If Portland had better year-round weather, we’d move there in a heartbeat. We really enjoyed this cool city that changes with each corner you turn. One street is loaded with micro breweries but the next is lined with vegan food trucks. And right outside of the city are cool trails, mountains and waterfalls. There’s a little bit for everyone.
