The Sunshine State
In Winter, we like to escape the cold weather of Virginia and head for Florida for a week or so. It’s always great to ditch our coats and trade them for our bathing suits and shorts for a while. Besides great beaches, Florida also has beautiful botanical gardens, pretty estates, metropolitan shopping centers, the everglades and Disney World! There’s basically something for everyone, no matter your interests.
Pretty Palms
Palm trees are Josh’s favorite tree. Whenever we visit any place that has a lot of them, he won’t stop talking about how cool they look. Much of Florida, particularly the coastal areas, are loaded with pretty palm trees. Florida’s climate allows really lush and diverse flora to thrive which makes the state feel green and tropical.
