One of the days we were staying in San Diego, we planned to spend the day in Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. So we jumped in the car and headed toward the park. I’ll never forget the first glimpse I had of the beaches that are part of the Natural Reserve. We got to the top of a hill on the road and as we crested the hill, this long stretch of pristine beach is laid in front of us as far as we could see. You could see the waves rolling in for what must’ve been miles and miles down the beach. I felt giddy like a kid when I saw it. We spent the day hiking through the reserve, which serves up some incredible views, and hanging on that gorgeous beach. It was a great day!
